Meet Bugsy — Our Adorable Copper Buck With a High Rufus Glow 🐰❄️

Bugsy is a charming young copper agouti buck from a litter that did not make it due to mom being so new. Bugsy was adopted by another mom and raised up to be very polite. He is a cute little hopper who loves playing with his foster siblings and munching on hay.

As he grows, you’ll notice a unique color transformation: his black coat that he was born with has started to turn different shades of  brown and red. Normally a black agouti is very beautiful with shades of black, brown and tan to cream. When you add a chocolatey red intensity which is what we call high rufus, you get a very rich color called Copper! This is a rare color that we have only seemed to produce a few times. In my opinion, this will make some of the most beautiful yarn if spun up! I love agouti and all of the rings of color it brings. You never have the same color as you trim his coat down.
