Bunny Waiting List

How Our English Angora Bunny Waiting List Works (Step-by-Step)

Our English Angora bunny waiting list allows you to reserve your place before our babies are available to the public. Below is exactly how the process works, step by step.

Our English Angora bunnies are in high demand, and we’re so thankful for the families who become part of what we’re building here. To keep things fair and simple, we use a waiting list that allows each family to choose their bunny in order, with time, care, and support throughout the process.

Step 1

Submit Bunny Application

Fill out our Bunny Application so we can learn more about you, your home, and what you’re looking for in a bunny. This helps us make sure each bunny is placed in a home that’s ready for the care, commitment, and joy that comes with bringing one home.

Step 2

Place a Deposit

Once approved, we’ll invite you to place a $53 non-refundable & non-transferable deposit to reserve your spot on our waiting list.

  • Your deposit applies toward the total cost of your bunny.

  • It’s valid for one year from the date received.

  • You will see confirmation of your place in line on this page once your deposit is received.
This deposit secures your spot, but there’s no pressure to choose a bunny until you’re ready. You’re always welcome to pass on a litter and keep your place.

Step 3

Watch for Your Turn

When bunnies are born, we begin sharing sneak peeks on our social media so you can follow along.

A few days before selections open, you’ll receive a heads up so you know it’s coming and where you are on the waiting list.

  • Around 3–4 weeks, we confirm genders and do their first photo session.
  • We then send out our Bumpkin Bunny Pick List to families on the waiting list in order. This list includes photos, date of birth, color, and price for each available bunny.
  • If you’re interested in a bunny, we’re happy to send additional pictures or videos.

📌 Once you receive the Bumpkin Bunny Pick List, it is your turn to choose your bunny. We ask that you make your selection within a few hours due to the number of families waiting. If we do not receive a response, we will move on to the next person in line.

💰 Once you choose your bunny, no additional deposit is required. Your waiting list deposit is applied toward your bunny and secures them until they are ready to go home at eight weeks, at which point the remaining balance is due.

If you choose to pass, your place in line remains valid as long as it is within one year.

Bunny Waiting List Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to bring home an English Angora bunny, understanding how our waiting list works is the best place to start. Below, we’ve answered the most common questions about how the process works, how long it takes, and what to expect when reserving your bunny through our waiting list.

I’m interested in joining the waiting list, but I’m nervous about scams. How do I know I can trust you?

We completely understand this concern, especially with how common scams have become. We always encourage families to take their time, ask questions, and make sure they feel comfortable before moving forward.

One of the best ways to get to know us is through our website and social media. We regularly share updates, photos, and videos of our bunnies, and you’ll also find reviews and feedback from many of our past families.

We’re always happy to communicate with you directly and answer any questions you have. If you’d like extra reassurance, we can also FaceTime or video chat with you when it’s time to choose your bunny so you can see them in real time.

At the end of the day, we want you to feel comfortable and confident, not rushed or unsure.

Do I have to join the waiting list to get a bunny from you?

No, you absolutely do not have to join the waiting list to get a bunny from us at Country Bumpkin Bunnies.

Joining our waiting list gives you the best opportunity to see available bunnies before they are offered to the public, and it’s the best option if you’re looking for something specific in terms of color, gender, or overall look.

That being said, we almost always have bunnies that are not selected by the waiting list that do get posted on our website, so it is definitely still possible to get a bunny without being on the list.

We do recommend following us on social media, as we often announce when new bunnies are posted so you can check the website right away.

Can I join the waiting list for a bunny if I’m not ready yet?

That’s totally fine, and honestly a lot of our families plan ahead.

If you’re thinking about getting a bunny within the next year, we do recommend going ahead and joining the waiting list. Even if you’re a few months out, getting on the list early gives you a much better spot, and there’s a good chance you could be near the top by the time you’re actually ready. That means you’ll have first choice when the time comes.

If you’re further out, like a year or more away, it’s usually better to wait a bit before joining. Our waiting list deposit is only good for one year, and we want to make sure you have plenty of time to use your spot when you’re ready.

Is the $53 wait list deposit refundable?

No, the $53 waiting list deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable unless a health concern arises.

We ask that you make sure you’re fully ready for a bunny and that everyone in your household or your landlord is on board before placing your deposit.

How much does an English Angora bunny cost?

The price of an English Angora bunny can vary depending on factors like color, markings, and overall quality.

At Country Bumpkin Bunnies, our bunnies typically range from $375 to $900.

Pricing can vary based on things like sex, color pattern, and rarity. For example, some colors or markings are more difficult to produce, and females are often priced slightly higher than males.

Are there other ways to place a waiting list deposit?

Yes, absolutely. While we commonly use PayPal and Venmo, we can also accept Apple Pay, Cash App, or Zelle if that works better for you.

If you have a preference, just let us know and we’ll be happy to help you with whichever option is easiest for you.

Can I reserve more than one bunny?

Yes, you’re welcome to reserve more than one bunny. Each bunny requires its own deposit, and each deposit holds a separate place on the waiting list.

For example, if you place two deposits, you will have two positions in line and two opportunities to choose from the Bumpkin Bunny Pick List.

You can use those positions however you’d like. You may choose two bunnies at the same time, or select one and wait to use your second spot later within your one-year deposit period.

How long does it take to get a bunny from your waiting list?

Our waiting list can vary throughout the year. Sometimes it’s short, and other times it may look longer, but it often moves much faster than it appears.

Many families on the list have very specific preferences for gender, color, or timing. For example, some may join months in advance and choose to wait for a certain time of year, while others may pass when it’s their turn.

Because of this, even if the list looks long, it does not necessarily mean you will have a long wait. In many cases, families are able to choose from the very next litter or shortly after joining.

Joining the waiting list gives you the opportunity to choose before bunnies are made available to the public, putting you in the best position to get the bunny you’re looking for.

What if I have a specific gender, color, or pattern in mind?

You’re welcome to share your preferences for gender, color, coat pattern, or any other traits when you apply. We’ll keep those in mind when it’s your turn to choose.

For example, you might be looking for something specific like a BEW buck (blue-eyed white male) or a certain color or pattern.

While we can’t guarantee your exact preferences will be available right away, we do keep them in mind when planning pairings and working toward specific outcomes whenever possible.

If your preferred traits are not produced at all during your one-year deposit period, we’re happy to extend your deposit for one additional year to give you more time to find the right match. This situation is extremely rare, as we have consistently been able to match families with their preferences within that timeframe, often much sooner.

However, if a bunny matching your original preferences is offered and you choose to pass, your deposit will still expire on the original one-year date. We are not able to extend deposits due to changes in preference or choosing to wait after your preferences have been met.

Can I choose a bunny based on personality?

English Angora rabbits are often called the “puppy dog” of rabbits because of their sweet, friendly personalities. They tend to be much more social and less skittish than many other breeds.

As far as choosing based on personality, it can be a little tricky at a young age. We see the bunnies while they are still with their siblings and their mom, and once they go to a new home, their environment completely changes. Because of that, their personalities can change too.

For example, a bunny that seems very outgoing and playful here may become more calm in a new home, and a quieter bunny may open up and become more social over time.

That being said, we do spend a lot of time with our bunnies, and if we ever notice any concerning or undesirable personality traits, those bunnies are not offered for selection.

Overall, our bunnies are known for having wonderful, gentle personalities, and most families are very happy with how their bunny settles in and bonds with them.

How do I know what a bunny will look like as it grows and gets older?

Bunnies can look quite different from how they’ll look as adults.

The best way to get an idea is by visiting Our Herd page, where you can see our adult rabbits. These are our breeding bunnies, so they give you a really good idea of what your bunny may look like when fully grown.

You can also visit our Color page, which shows a variety of different colors and patterns to help you better understand what to expect as your bunny matures.

We’re always happy to help guide you as well, and can give you a better idea of what your bunny may look like based on their current stage.

What happens after I pick my bunny from the waiting list?

Once you choose your bunny from our waiting list, no additional payment is required to reserve it if your bunny is under 8 weeks old. Your waiting list deposit is applied toward your bunny and secures them until they are ready to go home at 8 weeks, at which point the remaining balance is due.

After choosing your bunny, here are your next steps:

  • 🚗 Plan transportation
Decide how your bunny will get home. Visit our Transport Page to review your options.
  • 🏡 Prepare your home
Start getting everything ready before your bunny arrives. Visit our Preparing for Your Bunny page for a full checklist of supplies and setup.
  • 📋 Review the first 7 days
Learn what to do (and what to avoid) during the transition period. Visit our 7 Day Guidelines page to help your bunny settle in successfully.
What happens if I don’t choose a bunny within the year?

Your deposit will expire after one year. If you haven’t chosen a bunny by then, your name will be removed from the list and the deposit forfeited. Please make sure you are ready and wanting a bunny within a year of placing a deposit.

What if a bunny I choose doesn’t thrive?

In rare cases where a bunny becomes ill or has a medical issue, we will inform you immediately. You’ll be offered the choice to:

  • transfer your deposit to another bunny
    or

  • wait for another litter
